The threat of terrorism is now a real and constant danger that we must face together. Perhaps the most frightening situation to imagine is the use of radioactive materials by terrorists.  The ISO (International Standard Organization) has just standardized a new symbol aimed at warning everyone - particularly non-specialists - of the danger posed by a source of radiation. It is a triangle on a red background containing the symbol for radioactivity (the 'clover') with an indication of radioactive emissions, a skull and crossbones and a man running away. This symbol may be used in addition to the 'radioactive clover'.
